Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition simply stated as placing two variable or things side-by-side to show either its contrast or similarity. Thus concept is usually used in art to bring out a specific quality or to create an effect. This draws viewer's attention and it will automatically trigger their brain to associate or transfer its meaning.

Basically, analog of juxtaposition divided into two categories:

  • Metaphor - two different things are linked by some similarity (don't use as/like).
  • Similes - using as/ like.

It’s refers to the stimulation of creativity in problem solving, design or other creative pursuit by confronting two unrelated concepts or objects, usually the goal or problem to be solved on the one hand and a randomly selected object or concept on the other.
